Intersex

An umbrella term to describe a wide range of natural body variations that do not fit neatly into conventional definitions of male or female. A person who was born with both male and female anatomy, including reproductive organs, hormones or chromosome patterns. Replaces the outdated and inaccurate term hermaphrodite.
