Sexuality is the combination of your biological sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, and sexual practices. complexities of your sexuality. To start your journey, take a look at the Genderbread Person below. You will see the four main parts of sexuality listed and described: Identity, Attraction, Sex, & Expression. Read through these terms and see if you can distinguish where you feel you are for each of the terms.
Lets expand on your journey and look at the Gender Unicorn interactive worksheet below. The Genderbread Person is the more recent version of the Gender Unicorn, that’s why they are so alike. But, in this interactive worksheet you will able to fill in the boxes and move the sliders to narrow down where you see yourself.
For example, for Gender Identity, I would slide the female diamond icon all the way to the left because I believe myself to be a female. The other two diamond icons will stay where they are as I don’t feel I have any feelings towards them as my gender identity. Follow the same process for Gender Expression, Sex, Physical Attraction, and Emotional Attraction. Be honest with yourself, it is okay to feel the way you feel. (Anything you do in the worksheet below will not be saved.)
